Australia’s largest oil and gas event, the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG), has received an international endorsement from The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, UFI.
AOG, which last year attracted over 15,000 influential oil and gas decision makers, with more than 500 exhibitors from 20 countries and 130 conference speakers, is one of just over 900 trade fairs and exhibitions to be approved by UFI internationally.
AOG underwent an audit of 2013 statistics, including visitors to the exhibition, the number of domestic and international exhibitors and the overall number of visitors, to secure the accolade, which indicates to exhibitors and visitors alike the premium quality of the event.
Event director, Bill Hare, said the endorsement from UFI was a momentous achievement for the event, which attracts exhibitors from over 16 countries.
“To be recognised by the The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry is a terrific honour and a testament to the high calibre of our exhibitors and speakers and the enormous efforts of our team to deliver a consistently innovative and topical event focusing on Australia’s fast-moving oil and gas industry,” said Hare.
“An exhibition identified as an UFI approved event is a proof of high quality, thus providing exhibitors and visitors alike with the assurance that they are making a sound business investment.”
Hare said his team were now preparing for an even bigger AOG in 2014.
“We look forward to further developing the AOG brand to keep offering fresh and exciting content to an evolving industry that is hungry for innovation,” he said.
AOG 2014, organised by Diversified Exhibitions Australia, will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19-21 February.
