The countdown is on for AIME 2020, kicking off on Monday, 17 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The leading meetings and incentives event for the Asia Pacific region is set to go ahead, despite recent challenges that have affected the industry, including the Australian bushfires and the Novel Coronavirus outbreak.
“When working in any event you’ll always have to consider the ‘what if’ – whether it’s meeting guest expectations or being challenged by a global crisis,” said Matt Pearce, CEO at Talk2 Media & Events, the organisers of AIME.
“For AIME in particular, the travel restrictions imposed by the Australian Federal Government in response to the coronavirus for travellers arriving from mainland China have impacted only a small percentage of the show’s total buyer and exhibitors at AIME.
“Ultimately, we are the first large-scale event of the year and we know people are keen to get on with and drive their businesses. This is even more true this year – and we are looking forward to seeing positive business connections come to life.”
Here are the details you need to know before the event:
Knowledge program
AIME will kick off on Monday 17 February with the Knowledge Exchange, which will explore the theme ‘The Power of Human Connections’ in a full day of education sessions and workshops.

The program is open to hosted buyers, hosted media and exhibitors, while visitor buyers can purchase an upgrade to attend the program.
