NZ events industry to unite at BE Reconnected

Organisers have made some changes ahead of the December industry event.

As restrictions begin to ease again in New Zealand, Auckland is preparing to host BE Reconnected, a new one-day business events industry showcase taking place on 1 December 2020.

Organised by Conventions & Incentives New Zealand (CINZ), BE Reconnected was initially planned to take place over two days and was designed to replace the annual CINZ Meetings.

CINZ chief executive Lisa Hopkins said the reimagined one-day event will focus on rekindling vital industry relationships.

“Guests can expect to experience a day of connecting with and learning from the experts,” she said.

“There will be no prescheduled appointments. Instead the day will be about getting together again, with plenty of time to network, connect over great food, hear from some fascinating speakers and finish with a relaxed meet-up.”

BE Reconnected is free to attend for anyone responsible for organising business events, especially those not sure about where to start in this new age of gatherings.

“We are inviting event organisers from across the country to join us and New Zealand‘s leading industry providers to show we are stronger, more passionate and more committed than ever to providing the very best in business events services,” said Hopkins.

The event will feature a diverse line-up of keynote speakers, various workshops and networking opportunities.

On 30 November, the day before BE Reconnected, Auckland Convention Bureau will host an afternoon and evening familiarisation tour for business event organisers looking to explore Auckland.

BE Reconnected will take place on Tuesday 1 December at Te Pokapū Aotea Centre. Register here.
