AIME launches new event for associations

The invite-only event will provide discussion, debate and workshops for association executives.

AIME organisers Talk2 Media and Events have announced a brand new event for the 2020 show, designed exclusively for associations.

The Associations Round Table is an invitation-only event connecting C-suite executives from over 40 organisations across the Asia Pacific region and internationally.

Sessions aim to provide engaging discussions, debates and workshops in order to create new community and business models that drive association innovation.

Event director Jay Martens said the associations event is an extension of the AIME Knowledge Program’s theme of human connection.

“In today’s hyperconnected digital world, our industry has, and will, face challenges,” he said.

“The 2020 Knowledge Program is focused on how we approach these, which is why our theme is all about the power of human connections.

“The Associations Round Table will link key players in the industry to not only discuss these challenges, but also to reinvent and redefine the way they communicate and co-operate.

“Traditionally, associations worked independently, focused exclusively on member’s needs. Today, they face common challenges that unites them all. We want them to leave AIME with models that can be applied to their associations in their regions.”

In collaboration with Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), the Associations Round Table will be held over half a day at the 2020 Knowledge Program.

“There are not many business events so invested in the development of strong networks and communities, and we are very excited to help grow and support AIME in its immeasurable influence across the Asia Pacific region,” said MCB CEO Julia Swanson.

The organisers have also released a new teaser vidoe, drumming up excitment and interest for the event. Watch below:

Running 17-19 February, AIME 2020 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. For more details or to submit interest in attending AIME in 2020, visit aime.com.au.
