ICC Sydney seeking next-gen AV talent

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) is on the search for the best newly qualified next-generation audiovisual technicians as part of its annual graduate program.

The venue is seeking applicants for its sixth Audio Visual Graduate Program, with the aim to create a career pathway for technicians to join the ASM Global-managed organisation from February 2025 and gain vocational training and development opportunities.

As part of the 12-month program, graduates will gain exposure to events, exhibitions and conventions, working across all areas of ICC Sydney’s AV and production services, including audio, lighting, vision, rigging, staging and digital event solutions.

“Brian Nash’s leadership of our audiovisual services department has been instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, constant improvement and technical excellence,” says ICC Sydney CEO Adam Mather-Brown.

“The outcomes of the AV Graduate Program are testament to this,”

“Each year, selected candidates have the opportunity to grow their skills across a multitude of AV disciplines, experience working on an exciting calendar of diverse events, all while being mentored by our in-house AV experts.”

Nash is ICC Sydney’s director of audiovisual services, and he says the program benefits the venue, candidates and clients.

“For the graduates, the ICC Sydney AV Graduate Program is a proven pathway to gain invaluable experience working on complex and creative events, with the mentoring opportunities available being a significant benefit,” he says.

“We have [so far] progressed 100 per cent of graduates to casual and permanent roles at the venue.”
