MEA held its annual NSW Career Insights Forum on last Wednesday (26 October) at UNSW’s CBD Campus.

Students studying event management at a number of TAFE and private colleges heard from a cross section of MEA members on topics such as ‘A Day in the Life of an Event Manager’, ‘Your Personal Brand’ and ‘How to get noticed in a Crowded marketplace’.

A panel of YMEA members also spoke about how they got their start in the industry. Jane Taylor, one of the students, commented, “I am so glad I went and I feel like I learnt so much that perhaps with my studies in particular being online, I would not have learnt otherwise and it was great to meet other individuals in the same place in their career as myself.
