Wyndham Hotel Group has added the 32-room Ramada Reia Beach Resort Taipa.

Taipa is a coastal town in the heart of Doubtless Bay in New Zealand’s Northland, approximately 20 minutes from Kaitaia Airport or a three-and-a-half hour drive from Auckland.

Located on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway touring route, Doubtless Bay is home to over 70 kilometres of unspoiled coastline. The scenery along this route ranges from Pohutukawa-fringed white sands to rugged rocky coves and, combined with the sub-tropical climate the region boasts year round, makes for a popular holiday destination.

The beachfront property has been refurbished by its owner, New Zealand-based Taipa Management Limited.

“Taipa provides the perfect base to explore the north, from Bay of Islands to Cape Reinga and Hokianga, and we are thrilled that the region will now feature a world-renowned brand, Ramada,” said Levin Da Costa of Taipa Management Limited.

“We believe that leveraging the strength and reputation of the Ramada brand will attract business and leisure travellers from across the globe.”

Emerging after two years of extensive refurbishments, the resort offers a combination of deluxe and superior studios, suites and apartments. The resort also includes an onsite restaurant, bar, café, swimming pool, tennis court and conference facilities.

Recently, Wyndham Hotel Group added three Ramada properties to its New Zealand portfolio including Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street, Ramada Suites Christchurch City and Ramada Resort Rotorua Marama. Another property, Ramada Suites Queenstown Remarkables Park is under construction and is scheduled to open later this year.

Ramada Reia Beach Resort Taipa is located at 22 Taipa Point Road, Doubtless Bay 0442, Northland, New Zealand.
