Jeans for Genes

The Atrium at The Grounds of Alexandria turned denim blue for the launch of 21 days of Jeans for Genes.

Double denim was the order of the evening with guests arriving in their best denim ensembles to a room that was themed with a denim installation featuring hanging denim on clotheslines, blue flowers, denim table runners, denim manicures and an interactive photo booth.

Guests sipped on specially concocted ‘Rebel Without A Cause’ cocktails and were treated to an exclusive first look at an exhibition of celebrity jeans donated over the charity’s history including the likes of Cher, The Kardashians, Clint Eastwood, Adam Sandler, Anthony Keidis and more.

In a first for the charity, Jeans for Genes (J4G) used this opportunity to officially launch 21 Days of Jeans for Genes. In a 21 day countdown, the initiative will see a selection of Australian bloggers, who have pledged their support, upload posts of their own unique interpretation of #21DaysofJ4G in the lead up to Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 1st August. Some big names in fashion are on board including Sporteluxe, The Joye, Chronicles of Nadia, Harper and Harley, Steph Adams, Xssat, Lee Oliviera, Substance Blog, Gritty Pretty and more.
