Applejack Hospitality, the hospitality group behind Bondi Hardware and The Botanist, launched its third Sydney venue on Tuesday night.

SoCal, a Southern Californian-inspired restaurant and bar is serving up small plates such as Hawaiian tuna poke on corn tostada, crab and sopressada empanadas, refried bean and rice quesadilla, chilli dogs, pollo loco pintxos (spiced chicken skewers on rice with mole sauce) and churros with chocolate sauce for dessert.

Renowned designers Luchetti Krelle (Momofuku Seiobo, Ananas, Hinky Dinks and Sake) have created a retro styled venue with bright colours throughout and an outdoor ‘beach’ terrace. The venue has a 2am licence making it a perfect after party venue for the north shore.

The whole venue is not usually available for exclusive hire but this can be decided on a case by case basis.

The maximum booking size for dinner is 20 people and the maximum group size in the garden is 30 people for casual drinks.
