Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) is exhibiting at the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) on February 26 and 27 and is determined to give those attending the Melbourne event a taste of the dizzying array of destinations, attractions, and experiences that New Zealand has to offer.

“AIME is the must attend event in the Asia-Pacific region for the meetings and events industry and a fantastic platform for us to market ourselves as an appealing and unique destination for incentive travel and for business conferences and events,” says CINZ chief executive Alan Trotter.

“This is the 21st year we’ve exhibited at AIME and our goal this year is to showcase to buyers the diversity of our product and our unparalleled ability to deliver value for money,” Trotter said.

The expo will also give CINZ the chance to promote its 2013 New Zealand Planner and the Hosted Buyer Programme for New Zealand’s own business tourism exhibition, MEETINGS, which is being held in Auckland in June.

“With the popularity of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the enormous interest that has generated in New Zealand as the home of Middle Earth we’re expecting to have a very busy couple of days in Melbourne,” said Trotter.

CINZ has secured more than 120sq m of prime exhibition space at AIME and will be working alongside a large contingent of New Zealand suppliers, including international carrier Air New Zealand, Millennium Hotels & Resorts, IHG Hotels New Zealand, the SKYCITY Entertainment Group, the Langham Auckland, the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland, Heritage Hotels & Resort, and Millbrook Resort.

Many of New Zealand’s regional convention bureaux will also be exhibiting under CINZ’s 100% Pure New Zealand banner. Key venues on show include Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events; Rotorua Events & Venues and Claudelands Convention Centre.

“We want to give people a taste of our legendary Kiwi hospitality so on the first day of AIME we will be inviting all hosted, semi and day buyers to join us in sampling some of our fabulous New Zealand wines,” he said.

“It will be a great chance to network informally and an opportunity for us to prove that not only do we have spectacular scenery, but also world-class food and wine.”
