Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is once again the exclusive Australian venue for one of the world’s landmark exhibitions; ‘Surrealism: The Poetry of Dreams’, and art lovers can not only enjoy this exhibition but also the centrally located Oaks Hotels & Resorts offering special accomodation packages for the exhibition.

The exhibiton is open now until to October 2, 2011.

Direct from the Musée national d’art moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris, this collection of modern and contemporary art presents more than 180 works by 56 artists, including paintings, sculptures, ‘surrealist objects’, films, photographs, drawings and collages rated as one of the finest collections in Europe.

‘Surrealism: The Poetry of Dreams’ is an opportunity to see important art works that rarely leave Paris and Oaks Hotels & Resorts have joined with GoMA to offer an incredible Art Lovers accommodation package.

‘Surrealism: The Poetry of Dreams’ will be accompanied by a curated film program at the Gallery’s Australian Cinémathèque, an innovative Children’s Art Centre program for children, families and secondary students, an exciting range of public programs including talks, discussions and performances, and a full-colour exhibition catalogue.

Each Friday night during the exhibition,  the Gallery’s popular Up Late program will offer a range of live entertainment, talks and films.
