A new iPad app that allows exhibition contractors to design exhibition systems and stands at the touch of a button has been unveiled by Octanorm Australia.

Free to download, the ExhibitionApp enables contractors to design an exhibition system using Octanorm components and present their company to clients in a professional and innovative way with the help of pictures, videos, 3D animations and even a link to their company website. Octanorm Australia’s business manager, Stephen Dorrofield said the app was an ideal support tool for salespeople in the exhibition industry.

Octanorm’s newly launched app is free to download

“The ExhibitionApp allows you to create a system with your client, then instantly transmit the design online to your design department,” he said.

“Once downloaded, the app can be used whenever and wherever you wish without an Internet connection. It’s a slick, portable solution designed to save time and show that Octanorm contractors are at the forefront of communication developments.”

Octanorm Australia gave contractors a sneak peek at the ExhibitionApp as part of its exhibit at last month’s designEX 2011 in Melbourne.

Dorrofield said while the app was principally designed for the exhibition industry, it could be utilised by any contractors who use Octanorm components including those in the display and shopfitting industries.

“The app is also an innovative communication tool for us as a company, as everyone who downloads the app has access to the latest Octanorm news, product updates and animations,” he said.

Now available on Apple iTunes, the ExhibitionApp is suitable for both iPad 1 and 2 and there are plans to create a version to support Android tablets in the future.
