Following extensive research and surveys, Perth Convention Bureau  (PCB) has launched a forward-thinking website including a new venue and service search as well as deatiled info on PCB member’s venues, products and services.

“The Bureau aimed to develop a powerful and dynamic digital resource that is more streamlined, user-friendly and engaging to people visiting the website,” said  PCB managing director Christine McLean said.

Additional features of the new website include an easily accessible comprehensive list of member services – to assist planners and decision makers seeking information on why and how to host a conference or meeting in Perth and Western Australia. The website also features access to free images by award-winning Perth photographer Paul Parin and the ability for website users to share member content through social media tools available on every page of the website.

The website also includes more case studies and testimonials of recent business events, a comprehensive Events Calendar including the calendars of industry groups, such as regional tourist organisations, local councils and Tourism WA and much more.

“It is appropriate we are launching the site in 2010 as it provides a pivotal platform for PCB’s digital strategy going forward into the next decade. We’re excited about all the new possibilities that the digital world offers,” she said.

The site will soon be enriched with an online payments section for members, enhancements to member information, further development of PCB social media channels and search engine optimisation.
