Merivale welcomes industry guests to their new dining concept


Merivale treated Sydney corporate guests and clients to an evening in The Ivy Room last night where they were invited to experience Chef David O’Brien’s latest ‘shared table experience’.

O’Brien created a share menu inspired from Australian fresh produce and flavours designed to offer the ultimate share experience of easy dining in a casual and yet elegant fashion bringing back the ‘lazy Susan’ to the tables.

The evening was filled with conversation as guests shared fresh asparagus, roast onion and artichoke with Korobutto prosciutto, roasted prawns with roast peppers walnuts and smoked paprika for entrée.

This was followed with a main menu providing guests with a ‘family dining style’ experience, delivering world home style flavours and dishes with roast chicken, ricotta, sage and thyme and spiced jewfish with cinnamon, orange and honey and a buttery pine nut cous cous which was accompanied with a tasty fennel, watercress and orange salad.


The family style shared dining menu allowed guests to try a wide range of flavours while encouraging table conversation

Guest were then treated to some favourite seasonal treats of macadamia nut crumble as well as roasted strawberries, rhubarb, and mulberry and crème anglaise and of course the perfect cheese accompaniments.

Wines were carefully selected to accompany the dishes while the service was naturally the Merivale five-star experience.
