Mercure Cairns Harbourside completes $3 million refurb


The four-star Mercure Cairns Harbourside at Trinity Bay has completed an extensive $3 million refurbishment including the the lobby and all of the  173 harbour view rooms.

An abundance of artwork has been included int eh refurbishment to complement the décor, and the hotel’s 10 Privilege Rooms have also been redecorated. The outlook from the Privilege Room balconies takes in the breathtaking bay and mountain vistas for which Trinity Bay is famed, providing panoramic views only surpassed by those from the refurbished corner balconies which can now be hired out for private cocktail parties.

The hotel now boasts five distinct room types offering varied outlooks, configurations for singles, couples and families, and price points ranging from a standard room with city and mountain views up to the Privilege Rooms with unparalleled views of the bay.

Along with the new style and ambience, all rooms feature 24 hour room service and reception, in-room movies, Austar TV, and internet connectivity – also available in lobby areas.The hotel’s new 7th floor Privilege Rooms come equipped with all the mod-cons, including luxurious bathrobes, espresso coffee machine and iPod docking station. 

All guest rooms at Mercure Cairns Harbourside enjoy views enhanced by floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto private balconies with unrestricted views of the bay and the rainforest which cloaks the hinterland.
