ExpoNet has announced the appointment of Nick Lovelock, a former sales and event manager at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, as account manager at its Brisbane/Gold Coast branch.

ExpoNet has announced the appointment of Nick Lovelock, a former sales and event manager at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) – as account manager at its Brisbane/Gold Coast branch.

Nick Lovelock has recently joined the ExpoNet Brisbane/ Gold Coast team.

Lovelock brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of Queensland’s events industry to the company, having worked for the past four years as sales manager entertainment & special events at GCCEC and the preceding nine years as event manager.

In his time at GCCEC, Australia’s largest regional convention centre was successful in securing such major events as the National Finals Rodeo, Disney Live, the Australian Motorcycle Expo and home games of the Gold Coast Blaze basketball team.

“Nick has worked closely with most of the leading event organisers and suppliers in the industry and I’ve no doubt our new and existing clients will benefit greatly from his experience, expertise and enthusiasm,” said ExpoNet’s managing director, Jim Delahunty.

In his role at ExpoNet, Lovelock will be responsible both for looking after the company’s existing clients and shows from their initial planning stages to their successful completion, and developing new opportunities in the Brisbane/Gold Coast market.

Lovelock said he was looking forward to the challenge of staying ahead of the competition by providing innovative and creative solutions for clients’ shows.

“A position of this calibre will offer me the opportunity to branch out and build on my current experience in a new and challenging environment,” he said.

ExpoNet has a network of branches in Sydney, Brisbane/Gold Coast and Melbourne and services over 400 events per year in more than 100 venues.
