The MICE Award – sponsored by SPICE magazine – was one of four gongs on the evening for Mirvac Hotels and Resorts, with the chain also winning Serviced Apartment Property (Quay Grand Suites Sydney), Alpine Accommodation (Quay West Resort and Spa Falls Creek), Human Resources department member (Nicole Downs from The Sebel Surry Hills Sydney) and a major category, Australian General Manager (Craig Bond from The Sebel and Citigate Albert Park Melbourne).

Mirvac Hotels and Resorts’ CEO Andrew Turner said he was delighted to see his team once again recognised at the prestigious HM Awards.

“Naturally I am delighted that Mirvac has been recognized by winning these awards, which acknowledge the professional team of talented people who strive every day to offer our guests an exceptional experience and of course the growing strength of our brands,” he said.

“We have been part of the HM Awards for eight years now as it continues to grow in prestige and categories (and) this year was no exception with our executive chef, Lee Jeynes from Quay West Resort and Spa Noosa creating the recipes for the evening’s canapés.

“We were very excited to be part of the night and to receive so many of the Awards,” he said.
