The Tourism Restaurant and Catering category recognises a significant contribution to tourism through the provision of food and beverage. Cafe restaurant successfully demonstrated the success of its new interactive dining concept that emphasises sourcing local produce and offering Western Australian-centric wine and food promotions to enhance the overall tourism experience for guests.

Hyatt Regency Perth’s director of sales, Joanne Piacentini, was nominated as one of only three finalists in the Sir David Brand Young Achiever Medal that recognises rising young stars in the Western Australian tourism industry.

The hotel’s general manager, Adam Myott, said the awards are testament to the tireless efforts of the hotel staff.

“To be successful in these awards is a significant achievement and a reflection on the services we provide every day. I congratulate everyone involved as it takes a hotel-wide effort to achieve such recognition, and it could not be done without the hard work and commitment to excellence from everyone in the hotel,” he said.

Hyatt Regency Perth will now compete as a finalist in the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in the Meetings and Business Tourism Category.
