The highly-anticipated Australian Event Awards have unveiled the finalists for the wide range of awards categories recognising the most innovative and creative events in the country.

The highly-anticipated Australian Event Awards have unveiled the finalists for the wide range of awards categories recognising the most innovative and creative events in the country.

Just weeks before the ‘Industry Night of Nights’ Gala Dinner on Thursday October 8, 2009, the event’s organisers have also unveiled the look of the sought after trophy.

Award finalists include a diverse range of Australian events, from Grand Slam Tennis to a sustainable music festival, from Beijing to Warrnambool, and from the Coonamble Rodeo to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

As an official media partner to the Awards, Spice magazine is proud to announce the finalists in the Spice Best Venue category are Melbourne’s Federation Square, Sydney’s Doltone House and Flames of the Forest in Port Douglas.

Speculation is now building for the ultimate prize, as the winner of each of the Best Event categories compete for the title of Australian Event of the Year.

Winners will be announced at a special event held on October 8 at The Westin Sydney.
