Brisbane Launches New Conferencing Brand

Brisbane Marketing has intensifed its campaign to lure meetings and events to Australia's new world city with the launch of a new destination brand.

Brisbane Marketing has intensifed its campaign to lure meetings and events to the Queenslande capital with the launch of a new destination brand.

The ‘Australia’s new world city’ destination brand, which looks to capitalise on Brisbane’s growing strengths in emerging technologies and creative industries, will be implemented in stages and initially introduced to the business events sector through the new-look Meet in Brisbane website.

Designed to meet the needs of meeting planners and professional conference organisers, the site provides visitors with information on Brisbane’s business events product offer and delivers instant online access to bureau services.

Brisbane Marketing’s director of business events, Annabel Sullivan, said one of the stand-out features of the refreshed website was the Event Tool Kit.

“We created the Event Tool Kit with a view to providing meeting planners with easy, instant access to a range of materials with practical applications such as images, promotional DVDs, maps and a suite of fact sheets covering vital Brisbane information,” she said.

“Conference organisers can pick and choose the information that’s relevant to their needs and use the material in their event marketing collateral or delegate boosting activities.”

She said other improvements to the website included online editions of the Brisbane Meeting Planner and Unique Venues Guides, an overview of Brisbane’s industry strengths and a new green Brisbane section.

Other website features include a request for proposal service, venue and accommodation search facilities and registration pages to attend familiarisations.
