In a major boost to the Victorian alpine resorts, QantasLink has announced the resumption of direct flights between Sydney and Mount Hotham for the 2009 ski season.

QantasLink returns to the Hotham ski fields

QantasLink executive manager, Narendra Kumar, said the airline would operate 41 return services between Sydney and Mount Hotham beginning July 3 and ending September 3.

Kumar said QantasLink was pleased to resume services once again to Mount Hotham following the suspension of flights some years ago.

“The flights will operate on selected Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays during the season to enable people to make a weekend or longer holiday break of skiing at Mount Hotham and nearby destinations such as Dinner Plain and Falls Creek,” he said.

Fares for Sydney-Mount Hotham services begin at $199 one-way all inclusive of taxes and charges.
