Marriott London Gatwick Takes Off

Marriott International has launched its new contemporary Courtyard brand in the UK with the opening of the 218-room Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport with an introductory rate of $144 per night.

Marriott International has launched its new contemporary Courtyard brand in the UK with the opening of the 218-room Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport with an introductory rate of $144 per night.
 
Located within reach of the airport’s South Terminal, the hotel is a 30 minute ride from London’s Victoria Station via Gatwick Express train. Approximately 50 of the new hotels are expected to open throughout Europe over the next five years.

“Business travelers today are looking for quality and innovation as well as service and style at a fair price,” said Marriott executive vice-president – UK, Middle East and Africa, Jurgen Giesbert. “We are confident that this new contemporary Courtyard with its distinctive European flair will be a big hit with travelers from around the globe, offering value and consistency of product and service for which Courtyard is known,”
 
The hotel features three meeting rooms, dedicated conference space and a 24-hour retail ‘marketplace’ in the lobby, offering refreshments and travel essentials and a dedicated business centre where travelers can check-in and print out boarding cards and view flight information on computer terminals.  Foreign exchange service is also available.
